What we charge
Transcription and Word Processing
YOU ONLY PAY FOR WHAT THEY SAY
WE CHARGE JUST FOR THE NUMBER OF WORDS TRANSCRIBED
IT'S THE SAME PRICE EVEN FOR 24-HOUR TURNAROUND*
THERE ARE NO MINIMUM CHARGES
We believe we offer the best, most cost-effective transcript service in the UK.
Have you ever contacted a service like ours for a quote, and found that they won't actually pin the price down for you? Or perhaps you've noticed that quotes are frequently "from ...". What does that mean exactly? How many ways will they find to add to the cost?
When charging by the hour of work, transcription houses and word processing services may require extra time for a poor quality recording, if the speaker is unclear or speaking very fast, or there is more than one speaker.
If you are asked to pay by the recorded hour, you will have to pay for gaps in your digital file where no transcribing is required.
Also you will probably have to pay for insertion of timecode.
At Words our charges for all transcription and word processing are very straightforward - you only pay for what they say.
- £17.00 per 1,000 words
* If you require turnaround faster than 24 hours or require work given to us on a Friday to be returned over the weekend, you need to give us ADVANCE NOTICE and a £75.00 FEE will apply.
Adding timecode is free of charge if the recording is supplied as an electronic file with either LTC (on either track) or embedded timecode. We charge £3.00 per 1,000 words to add BITC from a DVD and for inserting timecode if you only have the start code.
